Style Makeovers

So far I have not watched the Style Network's, How D* I Lo*k with Jeann*e M but it looks like a really cool show and Jeannie dresses really classy or at least what I have seen from the previews. Looks like a girl with loads of style.
However the only thing I hate about this ambush makeover shows are how unrealistic they can be at times. Do these people ever consider that in this recession bills still have to be paid, food needs to be on the table? I mean the average person that appears on a show is not rich and a shopping spree at Saks, Macy's or even keeping it real Forever 21 just is not in everyone's bank account. Sure you could easily try to work the look in other ways but sometimes that just can't happen. Then there are the expensive MAC and Bobbie Brown make-overs and the NYC style salon treatment. Someone making $25K a year is not going to spring for a monthly wardrobe of $500+ a month and salon/beauty treatments. So people let's be real.

Ethiopian beauty Sara Nuru

I love new and fresh faces and even better when they are of colour. Sara Nuru is awesome and hopefully she will break through the rest of Europe and the extremely colour biased USA who will only allow one black girl a decade. The Ethiopian beauty was a recent winner of Germany's Next Top Model and has graced a few top fashion magazine covers including German Cosmo. Kudos Sara! We look forward to seeing more of you.

Heidi Klum pregnant again. This woman never gains or at least retains the weight for very long. She looks fab and gracious as ever pregnant or not.

These are cute looks for a wedding and this is June and the official month of weddings. Well if you're not gonna be a bride you may as well look as good as one.

Carla Bruni named best hat wearer

Carla Bruni everywhere. I don't know what the fixation is on her. Maybe this award was granted because she's the only leaders wife who actually wears hats, she's young and all the hype is on her. Of course Britains' own queen wears hats but she's a little old lady who's been around for quite a bit. The Queen came 2nd btw.
Sometimes Carla looks good and sometimes she's about as average as any other woman. ;-)
